Aftercare for Semi-Permanent Lips Tattoo

Aftercare for Semi-Permanent Lips Tattoo

AVOID THE SUN For first 10 days. Use POWERFUL SUNSCREEN ON YOUR LIPS, SPF30 OR HIGHER to avoid Hyperpigmentation.

Do not use ANY LOTIONS OR SOAPS CONTAINING GLYCOLIC, HYDROXY, FRUIT ACIDS ON YOUR LIPS.
No rubbing, no picking!!!!! After 4-5 days the treated area may start to feel a little ticklish, but do not rub. It can cause infection or create bald spots in the newly reconstructed brow. Peeling is a normal phase of the healing process.
Do not use laser hair removal or foto-facial too close to the pigmented area to avoid an accident. Most laser operators know how protect a permanent makeup tattoo from the light by placing a tongue blade perpendicular to the edge of the lip.

Your lips will feel swollen after the treatment and stay swollen for the first day or two.

You can use ice packs 3-4 times for 15 minutes spurts in first day. Keep a clean barrier between the ice pack and your lips. You may want to drink from a straw the first few days and avoid salty foods.

If your lips feel dry, use cream with vitamin E, shea butter, or any type of natural lip lipstick.

Expected phases for pigment:

1 – 7 days: darkest pigment. don’t worry, it’s temporary!
7 – 15 days: pigment may lighten to be even lighter than the final result
15 – 30 day: intensity of the color increases slightly (final results before touch up)
Day 30: touch up of the pigment.
