What Is The Most Popular Trend in the Lash Industry?
Today, I am going to be talking about fashion trends. More specifically, trends in the lash industry. One thing that I have noticed is that currently, everybody is going big and bold. It’s all about that mega volume which still looks natural and beautiful.
Celebs like Beyonce have truly mastered wearing lash extensions. Queen Bey sports some luscious, volumized mink lashes which emphasize her beautiful doe eyes. We’d expect nothing less from her! But it’s not just a trend that only celebs are embracing. I have seen the average person choose to get bolder with their extensions, too.
Lash Volumes
The classic way to apply lashes is usually with one layer, but I’ve found that the perfect way to add that instant volume is with layering. I use the following measurements for creating the most wonderful volume in lash extensions:
- 2D lashes – 2 layers of lash extensions are applied on your natural lashes
- 3D lashes – 3 layers of lash extensions are applied on your natural lashes
- 4D lashes – 4 layers of lash extensions are applied on your natural lashes
Personal Preference? A Mix of Volume and Length
Personally, I do love volume, but I think the perfect set which creates volume is by using 5 to 6D fans on each lash. Do you really need more? I’d say that that sometimes it might be necessary to create a 7D or even an 8D fan, but this is rare. It’s only used to cover any gaps.
For the average person, even 2D lash extensions are going to be just as amazing! I have noticed that more women of New York are going for a subtle, natural yet sophisticated look.
